There are many different moves that benders in Avatar use, and I will show my descriptions and names for each of them here! Some move names were from the TCG cards, and some I made, but all the description and example pictures were done by me.

Basic Push and Pull
One of the first basic waterbending forms that benders learn. The bender moves his/her arms to shift the water back and forth. It can be used as a practice of warm-up move for beginning waterbenders. Typically, it cannot be used as an attacking technique because of its weak power.

Streaming the Water
The bender summons the water to them by the arm movement, and controls or waves it around their body without touching the small stream of water. Waterbenders can also use this technique to call water from wells, drains, and other water they cannot see.
Pushing and Pulling the Crest
An upgraded version of the Push and Pull move, this move can shift larger crests of water to push ships into the water or force someone into the body of water.

Sea Sphere
This move is like streaming the water move, except with a larger bubble shaped stream of water. It can be used to transport water or other objects inside the sphere, as seen by Katara in "The Boy in the Iceberg" moving a fish inside a sphere of water and also in "Sokka's Master" transporting water to put out a fire.

Ice Guard
The bender raises his/her hands to force a wave of water in front, and freezes it to block incoming attacks. This has been seen used by Aang protecting himself from the YuYen's arrows.

Tidal Wave
The bender moves his/her arms and hands forward to create a giant or medium sized tidal wave that crashes into foes.

Surf Spray
Calling water from any available source, the bender shoots it forcefully at an opponent with a strong pushing motion with the arms and hands.

Dancing Mists
Advanced waterbenders can do this move. The bender summons the moisture from surrounding air and turns them into gases to conceal themselves or others. This is done by a quick flick and crossing of the arms. Waterbenders can also freeze the gases around them to immobilize enemies.

Icicle Spears and Daggers
The bender shapes water into sharp forms and freezes them. He/She then throws the icicles at an opponent. Most are multiple small dagger sized icicles, but with more water, an advanced waterbender can create larger spear shaped icicles. In "The Waterbending Master", Pakku used this technique to trap Katara with large icicle spears.

Frost Discs
A bender lifts his/her hands to freeze a portion of water. Then, using a slicing motion, cut the ice form into circular thin blades, which are launched at an opponent. These were only seen being used by Katara in "The Waterbending Master" as a fierce attack when she was thrown into a body of water in her fight with Master Pakku.
